The 7AHA!s of Highly Enlightened Souls I Mike George
How to free yourself from All Forms of Stress
Don’t Get Mad Get Wise I Mike George
Why no one ever makes you angry…ever!
After nearly 10 years, I returned to my Executive MBA that I studied for two years at Cotrugli Business School mainly in Belgrade. I had two postponed exams - one in Finance (I was terribly afraid, but I finally got over it), and the second - Personal Development, I postponed for better times. It turned out that the better times are now. I had the chance to meet Mike George who opened the door to personal development for me as he did for many others. I believe that the personal development once tapped into at the right time stays with us for good.
Words like Loaded Pistols I Sam Leith
Rhetoric from Aristotle to Obama
Resonate I Nancy Duarte
Present visual stories that transform audiences
These two books were the hot recommendation of my colleague and professional whom I deeply respect - Misho Stefanov. I kept and followed this recommendation after one of his invaluable training courses on successful presentation. After 25 years in the communication business, new truths and dimensions of public speaking have been revealed to me. Rhetoric has always been awe-inspiring, but there was a time when it was an integral part of formal education. Resonate is dedicated to building and delivering great presentations and cracks the code on how to orchestrate the invisible attributes that shape transformative audience experience. No wonder it all begins with becoming a better storyteller. Everyone will make the rest of the discoveries for themselves.
Intuitive Eating I Evelyn Tribole, MS, RDN, CEDRD-S & Elyse Resch, MS, RDN, CEDRD-S, FAND
A revolutionary anti-diet approach
Make peace with food, free yourself from chronic dieting forever, rediscover the pleasure of eating
Prime Time Health I William Sears, MD with Martha Sears, RN
A Scientifically Proven Plan for feeling Young and Living Longer
The first books I ordered after enrolling in the Health & Wellness Nutrition Coach course at the Dr Sears Wellness Institute. When I decided I wanted to deepen my knowledge of healthy eating there were many raised eyebrows, and once I realised how little I knew, despite my confidence that I was relatively prepared - mine were raised as well. During the last two decades of work in the field of PR and corporate communications, much of it for FMCG companies, I’ve had the chance to meet and work with exceptional professionals and experts in nutrition and dietetics, and that experience led me to the desire for a deep dive into this vast blue ocean of knowledge. I knew Dr. Sears from his books and followed the work of the Dr. Sears Wellness Institute for a long time, so this was my choice for a first step, after which I do not plan to stop.
Influence I Robert. B. Cialdini, PH.D.
The Psychology of Persuasion
This book was recommended to me by my older brother, with whom I share unconditional love and little in common when it comes to interests and character. I ordered it last year when I was working on a project to build a company library for a corporate client (yes, there are such companies in Bulgaria!) and now the time has come to read it. I'm ready.
Delicious from the Northwest I Ilian Iliev
The Complex Nature of Simple Things I Mariana Dobranova
Fresh Water for Flowers I Valérie Perrin
Every year for my birthday I receive books that mean a lot because they are precious gifts and hold a special place in my library and in my heart. One of my favorites this year is The Complex Nature of Simple Things, which was given to me by a person who truly lives the main message of the book "give in order to receive" - Hristina Borcheva, who, besides being an invaluable friend, is also the manager of my most cherished project - OreHHerO.
Thanks to the parents of my wonderful niece - Vessela and Andrey Panteleevi for Delicious from the Northwest. I read all the recipes in search of the indisputable proof that I am a real part of the taste of life in this region, and I got it.
Thanks to Mila Tsaneva for Fresh Water for Flowers by Valérie Perrin - a magnificent novel, one of those in which you get lost to find yourself.
